Eleven things to know
Short answers · No spin

1. About this policy

This policy explains how Converged Cloud ("we", "us") handles personal information: information that identifies you, or could reasonably identify you. In Australia we follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Where we work in other markets, we also follow the privacy laws that apply there, including New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020, the UK GDPR and Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012. It covers our website, enquiries, recruitment and our business dealings with clients, partners and suppliers.

2. What we collect

Usually your name, work email, phone number, company and role, and whatever you tell us in an enquiry or a conversation. If you apply for a job, your CV and the details you choose to share. If you work with us, the business contact and billing details we need to run the engagement. When you visit the website, your browser sends standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type. We don't ask for sensitive information, such as health details or political views. Please don't include it in an enquiry.

3. How we collect it

Mostly from you: when you fill in the contact form, email or call us, meet us at an event, apply for a role or work with us. Sometimes from other people, such as a Microsoft team that refers your organisation to us, a colleague who introduces you, or public sources like your company's website or LinkedIn profile. If we collect information about you from someone else, we handle it under this policy.

4. Why we use it

To reply to you; to scope, deliver and support the work you ask for; to apply for Microsoft funding on your behalf where you've asked us to; to run recruitment; to manage contracts, invoices and our business; to keep our systems and the website secure; and to meet our legal obligations. We'll only use it for another purpose if you agree, or if the law allows it.

5. Information we handle for clients

When we work inside a client's environment, or review a company's systems for an investor, we may see personal information that belongs to that client or company. We handle it under our contract and any confidentiality agreement with them, only for that engagement, and return or delete it when the engagement ends. Questions about that information are best directed to the organisation that holds it.

6. Who we share it with

Our people and contractors, who are bound by confidentiality. Service providers that help us run the business, such as our cloud, email and customer-management systems, under contract. Microsoft, where it's needed for the work, for example to register a project or submit a funding nomination you've asked us to make. Our professional advisers, and regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it. We never sell personal information.

7. Marketing

We may send business contacts occasional news or insights that relate to their work, where the law allows it or you've agreed. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@convergedcloud.tech.

8. This website

The website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which see your IP address. Links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies. If we add analytics or cookies, we'll update this policy first.

9. Keeping it safe

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it. If a data breach is likely to cause serious harm, we'll notify you and the regulator as the law requires.

10. Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing hello@convergedcloud.tech. We'll confirm who you are, then respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If we can't give you access, we'll tell you why.

11. Questions and complaints

Email hello@convergedcloud.tech and tell us what's happened. We'll look into it and reply in writing. If you're not satisfied with our answer, in Australia you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. Elsewhere, you can contact the privacy regulator in your country. We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version.
